As a vendor at The Barntique I've learned a little something about this gorgeous destination near the shores of Lake Erie! Pack your bags because I've got two great day trip ideas for some sun, adventure, and shopping!
Enjoy Turkey Point two ways
The First Way: with the family
Pack up the kids, bring a date, or grab your siblings for a great summer staycation!
Kick off the morning grabbing a spot down on Turkey Point Beach. This shallow beach is family friendly, sandy, and the perfect spot to enjoy the day.
If you get peckish you can take a slight detour (approx 30 minute drive) out to The Chip Ship on Long Point. This family friendly stop offers some fry truck favourites like fries, burgers, and Lake Erie pickerel. If you're feeling particularly adventurous you have to try the dill pickle fries!
Finish off your day with a stop in to The Barntique. Jen has crafted an amazing assortment of handmade vendors - spend some time perusing all the different booths for a variety of jewelry, pottery, ready to eat treats, decor, candles, and more! Make sure you tell her we sent you ;)

The Second Way: with the girls
Maybe what you need instead is a girls day away! Keep it close to home and check out some fantastic options in Norfolk County.
If you're looking for a relaxing day, then a winery is the place to be! No need to head down to Niagara or Prince Edward County - Norfolk County boasts some phenomenal stops.
Burning Kiln Winery has great weekend experiences starting at just $25/person!
Looking for more bang in one place? Check out Blueberry Hill - complete with blueberry farm, winery and cidery!
Prefer to sit back and let someone else plan the tour for you? Buzz Tour co offers private tour trips from the Waterloo region down to the wineries in Norfolk County!
No matter how you choose to get down to the region, make sure you add a stop to The Barntique into your day! There's no better shopping in the area! Jen has made the farm an amazing experience you won't get anywhere else.
Pack your bags, coordinate your calendars, and head out to Turkey Point this summer!
